The Sunny Mom

Momville is the sweetest place on earth. It brings joy and fulfillment that words can not even describe. It brings out the best and worst in you. While it can be tough sometimes, momville gives you countless of reasons to savor the simplest of things like eating ice cream on a warm summer day or cuddling a few more minutes before getting up from bed.

Whether you are employed, running your own business or a stay-at-home mom like myself, I'm pretty sure you know that motherhood is a 24/7 job. We all live for one common goal, that is, to make our homes a happy and sunny place for everyone in our family. And yes,  if we have to, we will kick butts to make that happen! Nonetheless, striving to become the best wife and mother go beyond keeping our houses spic and span or serving gourmet meals. While these are helpful, I believe that God has given mothers a special role, a purpose that we need to live and pursue. He has called us to be the light of our homes. Without this light our homes will be a gloomy and lifeless place. The problem is, we can not do it on our own. We need the true light-giver who will shine in and through us so that our light will never stop shining no matter what circumstance we are in. In John 8: 12, Jesus says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Mommy or not, we all need His light. By His grace, we can pursue a more meaningful and purposeful life that will reap eternal rewards. There, I said it. You are not just a mom. You have a big part in shaping tomorrow's generation by being the light God has called you to be. I pray that God's light will give you strength to pursue this calling.

Shine On!

Your Sunny Mom,

Tina
